Chelsea Run Out Of Patience With Their Spanish Striker, Fined N141.6 Million
Published: August 13, 2017
Spain international Diego Costa is set to be fined two weeks wages after skipping training, according to reports.
The online edition of the Sun says the Chelsea striker was due to report for training two weeks ago but was seen partying in Brazil.
Diego Costa currently takes home around 150,000 pounds every week, meaning he is set to lose £300,000 (or N141.6 million in Nigerian currency) if Chelsea fine him for his behavior.
The attacker has been declared surplus to requirements by Blues manager Antonio Conte, and has been linked with a return to former club Atlético Madrid, who cannot sign new players until January 2018 due to a transfer ban.
AC Milan have also been credited with an interest in Diego Costa this summer.
