Highly-Rated Chelsea Defender Targets Loan Move To Holland
Published: August 13, 2017
Chelsea's Swedish defender Joseph Colley is open to the idea of joining a foreign club on loan to continue his development but has ruled out a return to Sweden.
The Gambian-born youngster has hinted that he would love to remain on the books of the Blues for the 2017-2018 season.
''As it looks now, I will play in U23 but next season we will probably find some loan somewhere to play first-team football," Colley told fotbolldirekt.se.
He added : ''No, I'd rather go outside Sweden as it feels right now. I'm more into Holland where I think I can develop more.
''But it's far away now and I just want to focus on the season that comes''.
A product of Brommapojkarna, the 18-year-old Colley joined Chelsea in July 2015 following a successful trial.
