Manchester United Join Arsenal, Liverpool In Scramble For Monaco Midfielder
Published: August 17, 2017
Manchester United are hoping to snatch versatile Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar from under Arsenal's nose.
According to the Daily Record, the Red Devils are plotting a move for the France international, who is valued in the region of 60 million euros by Monaco.
United manager Jose Mourinho is still trying to beef up his squad with the signing of a winger, and the club have been linked with Ivan Perisic, Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger had prioritized the signing of Thomas Lemar in this window, but has reportedly thrown in the towel after the Principality outfit rejected their bids.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Barcelona have been credited with an interest in the 21-year-old, who helped Monaco with the Ligue 1 title last season.
