Manchester United To Reignite Interest In Atletico Madrid Marksman

Manchester United have reignited their interest in the prolific Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann, according to La Liga expert Guillem Balague.
The France international was rumoured to be on his way to Old Trafford this summer, but had a change of heart because of Atletico Madrid's transfer ban and he wanted to end the domination of Real Madrid and Barcelona in La Liga.
Though Griezmann has extended his contract with Los Rojiblancos, Balague believes Manchester United will make another move for him in the summer of 2018, with Fifa set to lift the club's transfer ban in the next four months or so.
''He is playing with the fans and he will continue to do that with teasing messages but it is quite clear he will consider a move to Old Trafford next summer,'' said Guillem Balague to Sky Sports.
''Quite clearly, he was determined to go to Manchester United and it’s just the fact he didn’t want to let Atletico Madrid down while they couldn’t sign anyone that made him decide to stay.
''He had made his mind up to go to Old Trafford though, so we will see what happens as 12 months is a long time.''
Manchester United had to shift their attention to Romelu Lukaku after Griezmann turned down a move to the club.
