Liverpool Battle Chelsea For Arsenal Star Oxlade-Chamberlain
Published: August 26, 2017
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is at the centre of a battle between Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool.
The Guardian UK is reporting that Chelsea are increasingly confident they will secure Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Arsenal before the closure of the transfer window.
The winger has refused to commit his future to the Gunners beyond 2018 as he wants to move onto pastures new for sporting and financial reasons, with the Emirates outfit failing to qualify for the Champions League.
Chelsea are ready to test Arsenal's resolve by submitting a bid in the region of 35 million pounds for Oxlade-Chamberlain, while Liverpool are yet to firm up their interest.
The Southampton product recorded 45 appearances in all competitions last season and contributed to 17 goals (6 goals, 11 assists).
