Manchester United have confirmed via their official website that Andreas Pereira extended his contract with the club prior to his season-long loan move to La Liga side Valencia.

Jose Mourinho told manutd.com : ''Andreas is already a very good footballer. He is a young player with great natural ability and a good attitude towards continuing his development.
''I have no doubt that he has the potential to be one of the future great players of this club.''
Mourinho has promoted Scott McTominay into the first-team squad following the temporary departure of Pereira.
