Iwobi Likely To Start On The Bench Vs Everton, Wears Black Bib Final Training
Published: October 22, 2017
Super Eagles main hero against Zambia, Alex Iwobi, may likely start on the bench in Sunday afternoon's Premier League game between Arsenal and Everton at Goodison Park.
While it is a foregone conclusion that the Hale End Academy product will be named in the match day squad, manager Arsene Wenger hinted during the Gunners last workout on Saturday that the winger will only be introduced off the bench, barring a last-minute change to his game plan.
Iwobi was spotted wearing black bibs and the players most likely to start the game against the Toffees wore white bibs.
The attack-minded players that wore white bibs at London Colney on Saturday afternoon include Alexis Sanchez, Aaron Ramsey, Alexandre Lacazette and Mesut Ozil.
Iwobi was presumably left out of Arsenal's 18-man squad that faced Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League to keep him fresh for the trip to Everton.
Including the Community Shield, the Super Eagles star has started five matches in all competitions this season, against Chelsea (2), Cologne, Brighton & Hove and Watford.
