Eredivisie powerhouse PSV Eindhoven have handed a trial to American-born Nigerian wonderkid Ayomide Akinola, with a view to a transfer in the January transfer window.
Born in Detroit, Akinola is eligible to represent the senior national teams of Nigeria, United States and Canada at international level.
The 17-year-old put himself in the shop window after starring for the United States in last month's Fifa U17 World Cup in India, in which he scored one goal and provided an assist in five matches and helped USA reach the quarterfinals of the competition.
According to local Dutch newspaper ED, Akinola is training with PSV Eindhoven's Under 19 squad and was involved in the friendly against Racing Genk.
The Dutch club thrashed their Belgian opponents 5-0, with Ayomide Akinola scoring the first goal.
The highly-rated winger has yet to make his professional debut for MLS outfit Toronto FC.
