Promising midfielder Callum Hudson-Odoi has inked his first professional contract with Chelsea, shortly after celebrating his 17th birthday.
On Friday, November 17, the England U17 international broke the news on social media that he has penned his first professional contract with the Premier League champions.
Hudson-Odoi moves up the professional level after starring for Chelsea's youth teams and playing a key role as the Young Lions won the Fifa U17 World Cup in India last month.
The London native was amongst the twelve players offered scholarship deals by Chelsea before the start of the 2017-2018 season.
The attacking midfielder has yet to make his competitive debut for Chelsea but has trained with the first-teamers to prepare him for a possible debut in the future.
When interviewed by FIFA.com, Callum Hudson-Odoi cited Eden Hazard as his role model, stating : ''Eden Hazard [is my hero] because his style of play is a lot like mine. He’s my inspiration.
''I've trained quite a few times with the seniors, which is a real help and a source of motivation when it comes to what to aim for on a regular basis.''
Callum Hudson-Odoi can also represent the national teams of Ghana.
