Levski Sofia, Nigeria International Striker Mutually Agree To Part Ways
Published: November 30, 2017
Allnigeriasoccer.com has been informed that Bulgarian First Professional Football League outfit Levski Sofia have terminated the contract of Nigeria international Tunde Adeniji by mutual consent.
Adeniji can join a new club as a free agent in the January transfer window, and only an official announcement is being awaited from Levski Sofia.
The 22-year-old is attracting interest from Moldovan teams, including champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol, but a source close to the player has informed this website that the striker will turn down a move to the country.
Prior to his release by Levski Sofia, Adeniji had seen the handwriting on the wall that he was surplus to requirements as his last appearance for the club was in July 2017.
The Blues had attempted to recoup the $150,000 they invested on Adeniji but he rejected the clubs that approached the 26-time Bulgarian champions in the summer transfer window.
In 57 appearances for the capital outfit in all competitions, the former Sunshine Stars ace netted nine goals and provided eight assists.
