Teenage striker Adeleke Akinyemi scored a consolation goal in Ventspils's 3-1 loss to Russian outfit Ufa in a friendly. The 19-year-old, who featured in this season's Europa League, had opened the scoring in the 14th minute.

Sparta Rotterdam were held to a 1-1 draw by FC Twente in the Dutch Eredivisie at De Grolsch Veste. Former Nigeria U23 invitee Fred Friday gave the visitors the lead after 62 minutes.

Elsewhere, in the EFL League One, Nathan Delfouneso's equalizer just before half-time earned Blackpool a share of the spoils against Peterborough United. Birmingham City loanee Viv Solomon-Otabor provided the assist for his goal.

In the Danish Superliga, young midfielder Frank Onyeka scored for the second consecutive match as FC Midtjylland claimed a 3-1 win over FC Copenhagen. The 20-year-old struck in the 28th minute to tie the game 1-1.

Across the border in Sweden, Kennedy Igboananike's goal in the 42nd minute helped Oerebro thrash Tvååker 3-0 in the Svenska Cupen.
