Published: February 20, 2018
Chelsea right wing-back Victor Moses has expressed his happiness over winning the inaugural Nigeria Player of the Year Award on Monday night.
The nominees for the award were Moses, Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi and Lobi Stars frontman Anthony Okpotu but the Nigeria Football Federation decided to award the prize to the Blues number fifteen.
''Hi everyone, it’s Victor Moses here, thanks for making me the Nigeria Player of the year,'' Moses told the official Nigerian Federation Twitter page.
''And also thanks to the NFF for this award, I really appreciate it and it’s an honour to win an award like this for Nigeria.
''And also most importantly, thanks to all my fans that have supported me and being there for me right from day one.
''Thank you all and God bless.''
Moses started three games for the Super Eagles in 2017 and wrote his name on the score-sheet against Cameroon in a World Cup qualifier.
