Nigerian Winger, Dubbed The Poor Man's Victor Moses, Trains With Arsenal First-Team
Published: February 24, 2018
Promising Nigerian winger Aaron Eyoma was pictured training with Arsenal's first-team on Saturday, 24 hours before the Londoners take to the pitch against Manchester City in the League Cup final.
Born 22 September 1997, the future of Eyoma at the Emirates Stadium outfit had been in doubt just three weeks ago as he had been training with London neighbors Queens Park Rangers ahead of a potential move.
This is not the first time Eyoma has practiced with Arsenal's first-teamers, manager Arsene Wenger monitored the winger on January 6, 2017, a day before they faced Preston North End in the third round of the Emirates FA Cup during the 2016-17 campaign.
The Frenchman also observed the talented Nigerian before Arsenal's Premier League game against Watford in August 2016 after Iwobi suffered a thigh muscle strain injury.
Aaron Eyoma is regarded as the poor man's Victor Moses as he can also be deployed as a right wing-back, even though he is predominantly a winger.
The 20-year-old, who has no international caps to his name, signed his first professional contract with Arsenal in February 2016 and spent a portion of last season on loan at Dutch club FC Volendam.
Aaron's brother, Tottenham Hotspur defender Timothy Eyoma, helped England to win the U17 World Cup in India last year.
