Samuel Kalu (Gent): He laid on his side's first goal in their 2-1 win over Waasland-Bevereen in the Belgian First Division.

Bobby Adekanye (Liverpool): Adekanye came off the bench to get in among the goals as Liverpool thrashed Stoke City 4-0 in the Premier League Cup.

Joel Asoro (Sunderland): The Nigerian whizkid was on target for the Black Cats in their 3-3 draw with Middlesbrough in the Championship.

Taiwo Awoniyi (Royal Excel Mouscron): The 20-year old striker almost engineered a remarkable comeback for Mouscron in their 5-3 loss to RSC Anderlecht. The ex-Nigeria U23 star netted his seventh of the season in the 70th minute.
