Published: March 02, 2018
Super Eagles manager Gernot Rohr paid a surprise visit to Leicester City loanee Ahmed Musa in Russia this week.
The German tactician was in Russia to attend the FIFA 2018 World Cup Team Workshop and carved out time from his busy schedule to see Musa.
Writing on Instagram on Friday, Musa said: ''Words cannot express the gratitude I am feeling for what you did. I appreciate your generosity.
''What did I ever do to deserve you? You are amazing!A great teacher inspires and you have inspired me to excel in the game of football.
''I stumbled and failed but you taught me to never give up and keep on trying. I just want to say THANK.. THANK FOR THE VISIT” 🦅🇳🇬🙏''.
Rohr had kept faith with Musa despite his lack of game time at Leicester City in the first half of the season, handing him call-ups for the World Cup qualifiers against Cameroon, Zambia and Algeria.
He will announce his roster for the friendlies against Poland and Serbia on March 7.
