Catch up on the Nigerian players that were on target for their respective European clubs on Sunday, March 11.

In the last round of the regular season, Oostende lost 3-2 to Uche Agbo's Standard Liege at Versluys Arena (Oostende), with out-of-favour Nigeria international striker Joseph Akpala directly involved in both goals scored by the home team.

Fernando Canesin opened the scoring after he was teed up by Akpala in the 27th minute before the Nigerian doubled the advantage on the stroke of half-time.

Peter Olayinka's Zulte-Waregem beat Lokeren 2-0 with the Gent loanee netting his eighth league goal in the 89th minute.

In the Danish Super Liga, AC Horsens shared the spoils with Brondby (1-1) at CASA Arena Horsens. Central midfielder Ayo Okosun netted the equalizer for the home team a minute after the restart to take his tally to eight goals in all competitions this season.

The 24-year-old is eligible to represent the national teams of Nigeria, Denmark and Germany.

In nearby Norway, Stabaek's Norway international of Nigerian descent Ohi Anthony Omoijuanfo opened his account for the season in his team's 2-2 draw with Stroemsgodset at Marienlyst Stadion.

The former Manchester City trialist, who remains eligible to wear the Super Eagles colours, gave Stabaek a 2-1 lead in the 45th minute.

Still in the Norwegian top-flight, Super Eagles midfielder Afeez Aremu closed the scoring in the first minute of stoppage time in IK Start's 4-1 rout of visiting Tromso on his competitive debut for the Kristiansand club.

Remaining in Scandinavia, Ostersunds FK posted a 1-0 win over Gais in the Cup thanks to ex-Flying Eagles star Alhaji Gero's 86th minute winner.

Finally, Eze Vincent Okeuhie scored Vojvodina's second goal in their 3-0 win at Mladost Lucani in the Serbia Super Liga. He wrote his name on the score-sheet in the 66th minute.
