Kelechi Iheanacho Looking Forward To Playing Against Chelsea
Published: March 12, 2018
Kelechi Iheanacho is looking forward to Sunday's meeting with Chelsea in the quarterfinal of the Emirates FA Cup, and is confident that Leicester City can cause an upset at the King Power Stadium.
The Foxes have never won the FA Cup, finishing runners-up on four occasions in the 1948–49, 1960–61, 1962–63 and 1968–69 seasons, while their next opponents Chelsea have lifted the trophy seven times.
“We’re looking forward to playing against Chelsea. They’re a good side, a strong side. We’ll just keep working hard in training and we’ll be ready for them, ” Iheanacho told LCFC TV.
“We’ve had a hard time getting some draws. Today will give us a boost for the next game against Chelsea.
“We’re back to winning ways now. We just have to keep winning, keep strong and keep working hard to make sure we stick to those wins.”
Iheanacho's pair of goals against Fleetwood Town and Peterborough took his tally in this season's FA Cup to four goals from four appearances.
