ADO Den Haag Remove Ebuehi From Starting XI After Failing Fitness Test During Warm-Up

Tyronne Ebuehi was surprisingly named in ADO Den Haag's starting line-up for Friday night's Eredivisie clash at Excelsior despite uncertainty surrounding his fitness before the game at Van Donge and De Roo Stadion.
During the warm-up, the Nigeria international failed a fitness test and was not granted permission by ADO Den Haag's medical team to play the game.
ADO Den Haag later tweeted before the start of the match that Hennos Asmelash has taken Ebuehi's spot in the starting line-up and the Super Eagle was completely left out of the match day squad.
The Nigeria Football Federation and Super Eagles team officials are monitoring the situation of Ebuehi, the right-back earlier assured that he will report for international duty early next week and the fact that he was considered for the starting line-up today suggests that his injury is not as bad as first feared.
The 22-year-old was rated doubtful for last month's league games against FC Groningen and Willem II due to illness but passed fitness tests just before both games.
He suffered a groin injury in last weekend's game vs NAC Breda and had to be substituted in the 67th minute.
ADO Den Haag came from a goal down to beat Excelsior 2-1 thanks to a brace from American-born Norway international Bjørn Maars Johnsen.
