Chelsea goalkeeper Wilfredo Caballero has arrived in Manchester ahead of Argentina's friendly with Italy at the Etihad Stadium on Friday, March 23.
Caballero was pleased to be recalled to the national team and hopes to impress manager Sampaoli.
The experienced netminder made his first save of the evening on 20 minutes when he gathered at the second attempt Wilfred Ndidi's shot from long range in Chelsea's 2-1 win at Leicester on Sunday.
''I will try to add from what is within my reach. With tranquility, to train to the maximum and to give confidence to my teammates,'' Caballero told TyC Sports.
"I'm going to take advantage of every training to impress. Sampaoli made it clear to me what he needs from a goalkeeper and I hope to be able to perform.''
On Chelsea advancing to the semifinals of the FA Cup, Caballero said : "Happy for the qualification and for having played. It's always good to add minutes."
Nigeria will meet Argentina for the fifth time in the group stage of the World Cup at Krestovsky Stadium, Saint Petersburg on June 26, 2018.
