Young Arsenal forward with Nigerian blood Xavier Amaechi scored one of Arsenal's goals in their 2-2 draw against Blackpool Tuesday night in the first leg of the FA Youth Cup semifinals games.
The Gunners twice led through Tyreece John-Jules and Amaechi.
Dylan Sumner restored parity to make it 1-1 for Blackpool before Amaechi, who plays predominantly from the left wing position as a winger took the north London ahead with a fantastic shot to the bottom corner.
Another Arsenal starlet with Nigerian heritage, winger Bukayo Saka who has scored six goals in 12 league appearances so far at the club was fouled inside the Blackpool's penalty box but the ensuing penalty was lost by Trae Coyle.
Blackpool's Ben Jacobson restored parity to set up what promises to be a great match in prospect at the Emirates stadium on Monday, April 16 as Arsenal seek to win the competition they last won in 2009.
The impressive goalkeeper Arthur Okonkwo, Tobi Omole, Folarin Balogun and James Olayinka all started for the Gunners.
