Joel Obi's Teammate Eyes Win Against Nigeria, Serbia Train At Brunel University London
Published: March 24, 2018
Torino's Serbia attacking midfielder Adem Ljajić has already started thinking about how to beat Nigeria in Tuesday's friendly at the Hive Stadium in London.
Serbia lost 2-1 to North African opponents Morocco in a friendly match in Turin on Friday evening and Ljajić has sent a message to the Serbian fans that they should not worry too much about the defeat as it was a non-competitive match.
''We have played a good game, we played well, and they scored two goals from two chances through our mistakes,''
Ljajic told reporters post-match.
"We had several chances, but now we should not grieve, head up, these are friendly matches, we are turning to Nigeria to do our best, the best we can."
The Serbian National Team arrived London from Torino on Saturday and had their first training session on English soil at Brunel University ground.
Adem Ljajić's teammate at Torino, Joel Obi, is also in London with the Nigeria squad and the two midfielders will put their friendship to one side if they are handed some minutes on Tuesday.
The former Inter Milan wonderkid made his first appearance for the Super Eagles in four years against the Poles on Friday.
