Manchester United Battle Juventus For Arsenal Midfielder
Published: March 26, 2018
Premier league heavyweights, Manchester United are set to slug it out with Serie A side, Juventus for the signature of Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey who could be up for grabs by the time the transfer window reopens this summer.
According to The Sun, the Turin club considers the 27-year old as a perfect foil for their midfield options of Sami Khedira and Paulo Dybala.
Arsenal had failed to offer the Welshman a new contract and Juve's general manager, Guissepe Marotta is already considering a bid for the player whose current deal expires in 2019.
However, Manchester United's supremo, Ed Woodward sees Ramsey as a more viable option to his record signing, Paul Pogba who could be sold amidst issues of unrest and squad overhaul at Old Trafford.
Juventus has earlier been linked with a move for Liverpool's Emre Can but with Bayern Munich equally sniffing around for the German's signature, the bid for Ramsey becomes all too imperative.
A fee of £35 million has also been mooted for the player who has made 23 appearances in all competition for Arsene Wenger's side this season, scoring seven goals and laying on another ten.
