Ex-Nigeria U17 Captain Igho Ogbu Turning Heads In Norway

Former Nigeria U17 captain Igho Ogbu impressed on his debut for Norwegian club Levanger less than two months after he penned his first professional contract with Scandinavian giants Rosenborg BK.
Ogbu would have found it hard to break into the first team of RBK, with established players such as Norway internationals Anders Konradsen and Anders Trondsen, and Denmark star Mike Jensen ahead of him in the pecking order of midfielders
The 18-year-old, who can also be deployed as an emergency right-back, was awarded the Man of the Match accolade by the journalists and fans in Levanger's 2-1 loss to Aalesund in a Norwegian First Division game on Sunday.
''Rosenborg decided to loan him to LFK because he is too good to be playing in the fourth-tier, the level their reserve team play, '' a top source told allnigeriasoccer.com.
''To continue his development he had to join the First Division team until July 19. In the summer, we will sit down again, assess his performance and see what's best for him - whether to return to RBK or continue elsewhere on loan.''
