Official: One-Time Nigeria Target Iorfa Announces Return To Premier League Newcomers
Published: May 08, 2018
One-time Nigeria Football Federation target Dominic Iorfa has announced that he will not be extending his stay at EFL Championship outfit Ipswich Town.
Last July, the former England U21 star joined the Blues on a season-long loan to enable him play on a regular basis after losing his starting spot at Premier League newcomers Wolverhampton Wanderers.
The right-back played 25 matches in all competitions for Ipswich Town and had a hand in three goals, logging 1,908 minutes in total.
Writing on Twitter, Iorfa stated : ''Massive thanks to everyone @Official_ITFC. Really enjoyed my time at the club and I wish everyone the best in the future 💙👍🏾''.
Ipswich Town have not yet announced their retained list but they have retweeted Iorfa's post, which confirms that the defender is returning to the Molineux Stadium ahead of the start of pre-season training.
The 22-year-old spent a portion of the 2013-14 season on loan at Shrewsbury Town, for whom he made his professional debut.
