Nigeria World Cup Stars Victor Moses, Omeruo Due Back In Training With Chelsea On Tuesday
Published: July 17, 2018Nigeria defenders Victor Moses and Kenneth Omeruo are due back in training with Chelsea on Tuesday morning, allnigeriasoccer.com understands.
Tuesday, July 17 will make it three weeks the Super Eagles were eliminated from the 2018 World Cup, and the two Nigeria stars were not required to report to Cobham until today.
While Moses will be hoping to impress Chelsea new boss Maurizio Sarri in pre-season before the squad's trip to Australia, Omeruo didn't get a look-in under previous coaches.
Central defenders Kurt Zouma, David Luiz, Michael Hector, Ethan Ampadu and Fikayo Tomori already got a head start over Omeruo as they have all reported for pre-season training and were monitored by the former Napoli manager during Monday's training session.
England U21 international of Nigeria descent Tammy Abraham worked out with the first-teamers yesterday and is in line to travel to Australia.
Apart from their opening pre-season game against Perth Glory on July 23, the Blues will take on Inter Milan (July 28) and Arsenal (August 1) in International Champions Cup matches before the Community Shield tie with Manchester City.
