Published: August 13, 2018
Catch up on the Nigerian players that were on target for their respective clubs in the Premier League 2 and Professional Development League on Monday, 13th August.
At the King Power Stadium where Leicester City hosted Swansea City, and it was young Nigerian winger, Layton Ndukwu who scored the young Foxes first goal of their league campaign in a 1-0 victory.
The 19-year-old slotted home past Swans goalkeeper six minutes into the game to give his side the win.
Elsewhere, Bolton's Olawale Tanimowo was among the goals for the young Trotters in a 3-1 win against Bristol City U23s at the County Ground.
A close range effort from the Nigerian after 33 minutes made the scoreline 2-0 in his side's favour.
Over to the Turf Moor and Burnley U23s starlet, Tunde Bayode scored what was unarguably the pick of the evening goals in a comprehensive 4-1 win over Cardiff City U23s.
The dazzling winger broke free from out wide, maneuvering one too many markers before unleashing a rocket into the top corner for 3-1.
