Revealed : Manchester City Outbid Tottenham To Sign Nigerian Goalkeeper
Tottenham Hotspur could not match Manchester City's offer for Nigerian wonderkid Gavin Bazunu.

According to the Irish Independent, Shamrock Rovers goalkeeper Bazunu has agreed to join Manchester City for a fee of €400,000.

The publication added that Spurs were in the race to sign the Dublin-born netminder but their bid was unsuccessful as the Premier League champions offered more money.

Bazunu's transfer to Manchester City will be completed next summer because FIFA's transfer rules debar Bazunu from moving to a club outside the jurisdiction until he turns 17 in February.

The 16-year-old posted four shutouts in his first four matches for Shamrock Rovers in the League Of Ireland and was in between the pipes when they faced AIK Solna in the first qualifying round of the Europa League last month.

The Nigeria Football Federation are understood to be monitoring his performances in Ireland, with a view to a call-up to one of the national teams.
