Chelsea Loanee Aina Poised To Make Full Competitive Debut For Club And Country
Published: August 29, 2018Chelsea loanee Ola Aina will make his full debut for Italian Serie A outfit Torino sooner rather than later, after coming off the bench in the first two matches of the new season against AS Roma and Inter Milan, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
Argentine defender Cristian Ansaldi, the player Aina replaced in the 22nd minute at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, faces at least 40 days on the sidelines after suffering a serious knee injury.
The injury sustained by the South American means the Nigerian is certainly in contention to make his first start for Torino when they host SPAL on September 2.
Aina played on the left side of a five-man midfield, or in other words as a left wing-back, when he came on for Ansaldi on match day two and was deployed as a right wing-back against AS Roma.
The Super Eagle has been impressive for Torino in his first two matches and the only blemish was his error that led to Edin Dzeko's winner in the 1-0 loss to the Giallorossi.
With Benfica's Tyronne Ebuehi and Bursaspor's Abdullahi Shehu sidelined due to injury, Aina is in line to make his full competitive debut for the Super Eagles against Seychelles early next month.
