Super Eagles Fans Will Love Watford Coach's Latest Comments About Isaac Success
Published: August 30, 2018
Former Golden Eagles and Flying Eagles sensation Isaac Success netted his first goal for Watford for close to two years in their 2-0 win over Reading in the second round of the League Cup on Wednesday evening.
The last time Success found the net prior to yesterday's game at Madejski Stadium was against Bournemouth on October 1, 2016.
Success was omitted from Nigeria's provisional World Cup roster because he did not get enough minutes at the Hornets in the first half of last season though his situation improved slightly when he moved on loan to Malaga in the January transfer window.
Watford coach, Javi Gracia, has hinted that the BJ Foundation product will be offered more playing opportunities after opening his account for the season, which could revive his international career.
''Today he has scored a good goal for the team," said Gracia to Watford's official website.
"I spoke with every player before the game and tried to explain that they don't have to show anything different than they usually do in training, in pre-season.
''They are good professionals – the only thing that changed is the opportunity to play. It is very good for the group that they enjoy more minutes."
Isaac Success's only appearance to date for the Super Eagles was against Senegal in an international friendly on March 23, 2017.
