Aston Villa Set To Beat Nottingham Forest And Bordeaux For Signature Of Chelsea Striker
England U21 international Tammy Abraham is close to completing a deadline day move to Aston Villa, according to reports.

The Sun says Abraham is heading to Aston Villa on loan ahead of today's 5pm deadline and the Chelsea striker will bolster Steve Bruce's attacking options in the Championship.

Nottingham Forest were also linked with the signing of the Chelsea Academy product but Villa are nailed-on favourites to secure his services.

Reports in France, including L'Equipe, claim Bordeaux are in the market for a striker and have targeted the Nigerian youngster.

The 20-year-old has failed to break into Chelsea's first team because of the strong competition and previously enjoyed loan stints at Bristol City and Swansea City.

He totaled 48 appearances for Bristol City in all competitions, scoring 26 goals during the 2016-17 season, and netted 8 times in 39 appearances last term for the Swans.
