Published: August 31, 2018
Tottenham Hotspur defender Timothy Eyoma has been promoted by England after receiving a call-up to the U19 squad for upcoming games for the first time in his international career.
England U17 World Cup-winning fullback Eyoma is in line to make his debut for the Young Lions at U19 level when they trade tackles with the Netherlands at St. George’s Park on Wednesday 5 September.
Keith Downing's side will end their schedule next month against Belgium in Tubize on September 10.
London born Eyoma has made more than 27 appearances for England's U16, U17 and U18 national teams.
Seven players of Nigerian descent, who previously represented England U17s, have made the step up to the U18s after they were called up by manager Neil Dewsnip for the Limoges Tournament next month.
Arsenal starlets Xavier Amaechi, Folarin Balogun, Bukayo Saka and Arthur Okonkwo, West Ham's Ajibola Alese, Chelsea's Faustino Anjorin and Manchester City's Nathanael Ogbeta are part of the 21-man group for the games against Netherlands, Russia and France.
Finally, Manchester City loanee Lukas Nmecha has been named in the England U20 squad list for the friendlies against Switzerland and Netherlands.
