Chelsea Coach Tells Victor Moses Exactly What He Must Do To Return To Starting Lineup
Published: August 31, 2018
Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri has suggested that former Super Eagles star Victor Moses has to become a better winger to regain his place in the starting lineup.
Moses has yet to start a single game for The Blues in all competitions this season and was dropped from the match day squad against Newcastle United in the last round of matches in the Premier League.
The 27-year-old had more playing opportunities under Antonio Conte, only after he was converted to a right wing-back, but is behind Eden Hazard, Willian and Pedro in Sarri's pecking order of wingers in the new season.
Speaking on the future of Moses ahead of Saturday's home game against Bournemouth, Sarri told the national press : '' But because he changed the position on the pitch... last season he played (at right wing-back), and now we want him to play like a winger.
''We changed the position and, in the new position, he needs to improve. But it's only a question of time, I think."
Moses has spent time on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United since joining Chelsea in the summer of 2012.
