Every Single 43 Nigerian Players To Score In The Premier League Revealed
Published: September 02, 2018Huddersfield Town midfielder Philip Billing became the forty-third Nigerian player to score in the English Premier League when he found the net in the first half against Everton on Saturday, September 1.
Of the forty-three Nigerian players that have scored in the Premier League, 28 players represented the Super Eagles.
Kelvin Etuhu, Ugo Ehiogu, John Fashanu, John Salako, Tammy Abraham, Nedum Onuoha, Jordon Ibe, Sammy Ameobi, Nathan Delfouneso, Manny Omoyinmi, Ademola Lookman, George Ndah, Dominic Solanke, Stefano Okaka and Billing are the dual-eligible players that have not played competitively for their nations.
With 95 goals, former Everton and Blackburn Rovers striker Yakubu Aiyegbeni is the highest scoring Nigerian in Premier League history, followed by Nwankwo Kanu and Efan Ekoku with 54 and 52 goals respectively.
Chelsea winger Victor Moses has scored the most goals, 20 in total, if only the players still active in the Premier League are considered, five more than Leicester City star Kelechi Iheanacho.
