Ahead of the Super Eagles 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Seychelles, allnigeriasoccer.com has compiled five interesting observations about the 21-man squad.

1) As of Wednesday, September 5, the average age of the players on the roster is 24.57 years while seven players are 21 years or under.

2) The average caps is 17, with Ahmed Musa the most capped player with 73 caps, followed by Eddy Onazi (50) and Kenneth Omeruo (40).

3) Ten players have played less than ten games for the Nigerian national team. Semi Ajayi, Jamilu Collins, Samuel Kalu and Kelechi Nwakali are the players hoping to make their debut against the Pirates on Saturday, September 8.

4) The squad contains 21 players that ply their trade in thirteen different countries : England (5), Spain (2), Turkey (2), Portugal (2), Italy (2), Nigeria, South Africa, Russia, Germany, Israel, France, Saudi Arabia and China (1 each).

5) Three players Ahmed Musa, Kenneth Omeruo and Eddy Onazi played in the final of the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations against Burkina Faso.
