Ebuehi Not Ruling Out Return To Action This Season After Operation Carried Out By Knee Guru
Super Eagles defender Tyronne Ebuehi has not ruled out a return to action before the end of the 2018-2019 campaign after undergoing successful surgery, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

The right back suffered a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee in pre-season and is expected to spend 6-9 months on the sidelines after undergoing successful surgery just over two weeks ago in Augsburg.

The operation was carried out by knee guru Ulrich Boenisch who treated Serbia international Ljubomir Fejsa in 2014.

An orthopedist of the Hessing Park Clinic in Augsburg, Boenisch was the club doctor of FC Basel and local team FC Augsburg for fifteen years.

Ebeuhi's bonafide representative has informed this website that it's impossible to give an exact date as his expected date of recovery but he is unlikely to play for the Nigerian National Team this season.

The 22-year-old became cap-tied to Nigeria after making his competitive debut off the bench in the Super Eagles 2-0 win over Iceland at this summer's World Cup in Russia.
