Chelsea Loanee Omeruo Speaks On Win Against Seychelles And That Pitch
Chelsea loanee Kenneth Omeruo has complained about the state of the Stade Linité (Roche Caïman) pitch which was used for the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Seychelles and Nigeria on Saturday, September 8.

Several players and even manager Gernot Rohr had expressed concern about the artificial playing surface in the lead up to the match and Omeruo has revealed those fears were real, but was delighted that it didn't prevent the Super Eagles from picking up their first three points in the qualifiers.

''We are very happy with the result, it was a difficult pitch to play on, we thank God we kept it clean, three goals,'' said Omeruo to Brila FM.

''It means we have our confidence, we need to try to win both games home and away against Libya and we will almost be there.''

Speaking more on the condition of the pitch, the central defender added : '''You have to focus on the ball very well, you can't play one touch, we just thank God for the result.''

Omeruo has now started each of Nigeria's last three competitive games against Iceland, Argentina and Seychelles .
