England have moved one step closer to qualifying for the 2019 UEFA European Under-21 Championship after coming from behind to beat Latvia 2-1 at Zemgale Olympic Center, Jelgava on Tuesday afternoon, with five players on the radar of the Nigeria Football Federation tasting action.

Chelsea loanees Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori, Liverpool's Dominic Solanke and Everton's Ademola Lookman started for the Young Lions and Tottenham Hotspur's Josh Onomah came off the bench in the closing minutes.

The home team took the lead through Jurkovskis in the 28th minute, only for Abraham to equalize with five minutes to be played in the half.

Abraham scored with a header following a cross from his Chelsea teammate Mason Mount, who was making his debut for England U21s.

Mount netted what proved to be the winning goal in the 73rd minute after he was fed by Dominic Solanke.

Lookman and Abraham came off in the 63rd and 80th minute respectively, while Onomah entered into the fray on 89 minutes.

England top Group 4 of the U21 EURO qualifiers with 20 points from eight matches, eight points ahead of Netherlands who play Scotland later today.
