Allnigeriasoccer.com understands players and officials of the Golden Eaglets are expected back in the country on Tuesday, September 18 after emerging champions of the WAFU-UFOA Zone B qualifiers for the 2019 Africa U17 Cup of Nations.
Apart from the N1 million cash reward by the Chairman of the Technical Committee of the Nigerian Federation, Ahmed Fresh Yusuf, donated to team in his personal capacity, no money has been paid to the players by the NFF.
The Nigerian Federation promised the players their qualifying bonuses only after they reached the semifinals of the WAFU Zone B as before now there was no bonus.
Even the coaches are not paid salaries by the NFF, with the exception of head coach Manu Garba, who has not been paid since his appointment as coach.
Meanwhile, two Golden Eaglets stars picked up individual accolades at the end of the tournament in Republic of Niger.
Defensive midfielder and captain Samson Tijani won the Golden Ball award as the Most Valuable Player of the competition, while Kunle Olusegun won the top scorer prize with four goals to his name.
