Super Eagles Undergo Tactical Work Final Session; Team A & B Last Line-Up Revealed
Published: October 12, 2018Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr is keeping his cards close to his chest over his starting line-up for Saturday's 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Libya in Uyo, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.
The German football tactician will officially announce the starting XI to face the Mediterranean Knights at a team meeting on Saturday morning.
And he has kept everyone guessing as there was no full sized 11-a-side game in the final workout which usually gives insiders a hint of the players that will take to the pitch from the first minute.
Friday's session which lasted for one and a half hours was strictly tactical, with the players practicing free-kicks and corner kicks situations after the stretching and physical exercises.
Gernot Rohr split the team into two groups in Thursday evening's session and Team A contained at least seven of the guaranteed starters in the team.
Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho, Leon Balogun, Troost-Ekong, Jamilu Collins, Abdullahi Shehu, Wilfred Ndidi, Oghenekaro Etebo, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Kalu, Odion Ighalo (Isaac Success) and Ahmed Musa played for the Team A.
The opposite team contained : Ikechukwu Ezenwa, Ola Aina, Chidozie Awaziem, Kenneth Omeruo, Bryan Idowu, John Ogu, Semi Ajayi, Eddy Onazi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Henry Onyekuru.
