Super Eagles Official: Everton Loanee Henry Onyekuru Passed Fit To Face South Africa
Published: November 17, 2018Everton loanee Henry Onyekuru has been passed fit to face South Africa in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier to be staged at the FNB Stadium on Saturday afternoon, according to Super Eagles media officer Toyin Ibitoye.
There had been confusion surrounding the fitness of the Galatasaray frontman after he was pictured with his left ankle wrapped with an ice pack after training on Thursday.
But Ibitoye has described those reports as a ruse, adding that the striker is in contention to be named to the match day squad.
''Onyekuru is good, Onyekuru trained well. All the players we have here have been training well, all 23 of them. We don't have any worry,'' Ibitoye told SuperSport Naija Made on Saturday morning from Johannesburg.
''All our boys here, only eighteen will be dressed. They are good to go.''

Henry Onyekuru has figured off the bench in the last there Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches played by the Super Eagles and provided an assist in the 4-0 win over Libya in Uyo.
