Chelsea Loanee Ola Aina Will Not Train With Super Eagles Monday, Returns To Italy
Published: November 19, 2018
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that Chelsea loanee Ola Aina will certainly not collect his seventh international cap for the Super Eagles when they take on Uganda in an international friendly on November 20.
The wing-back will not train with the Super Eagles on Monday as he has been permitted to return to Italy by Rohr and the Nigerian Federation after sustaining an injury while on international duty.
According to Rohr, an inflammation of the heel kept him out of the 18-man squad in Saturday afternoon's Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa.
Contrary to reports, Bordeaux number ten Samuel Kalu had been ahead of the Torino rising star in the pecking order of wing-backs for the game against Bafana Bafana before injury ruled him out of the contest.
Aina has been named in Torino's match day squad for all their matches in the Italian Serie A so far this season and was an unused substitute in only one, against Bologna on October 21.
The former England U19 captain is in a race against time to be fit for Torino's next match against Cagliari next week Monday.
