In Colchester, England U20s earned a 2-0 win over Germany in their final international match this calendar year, with Manchester City loanee Lukas Nmecha the star man for the Young Lions.

The Preston North End striker had been placed on standby before manager Paul Simpson drafted him into the team.

Nmecha was introduced in the 63rd minute and three minutes later he provided the assist for the opening goal scored by Joe Willock, then got on the scoresheet in the 69th minute.

The Hamburg born Nmecha made his debut for England U20s against the Germans.

Queens Park Rangers attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze was also in international action, playing the last 18 minutes for the U20s.

England U18 have won the U18 tournament in Spain after beating Belgium 3-1, with Chelsea midfielder Faustino Anjorin scoring five minutes into the second half and  Man City's Nathaniel Ogbeta skippering the side for the third game in a row.

Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun came off the bench in the 49th minute, Ogbeta was replaced on 58 minutes while Anjorin subbed out with 18 minutes left on the clock.
