Super Eagles Hopeful Bazee Feared Injured After Sickening Clash Of Heads In Bundesliga Match
Published: November 25, 2018
Super Eagles hopeful Noah-Joel Sarenren-Bazee faces a spell on the sidelines after suffering an injury in the ongoing Bundesliga match between Borussia Mönchengladbach and Hannover 96 at Stadion im BORUSSIA-PARK (Mönchengladbach).
Bazee was making his second start for the first team of Hannover having recovered from a foot injury which had kept him out for most part of this season.
The right winger collided heavily with Matthias Ginter in the closing minutes of the first half which left both players on the ground.
After receiving treatment, Bazee was allowed to continue playing but he went down again and had to make way for Japan international Genki Haraguchi in the third minute of stoppage time.
He will have to undergo further tests which will determine his availability for next weekend's home game vs Hertha BSC.
Bazee earned his first call-up to the Super Eagles for a friendly
against Senegal in March 2017 but the exciting talent couldn't debut due to a knee
injury and was omitted from the provisional World Cup roster due to fitness concerns.
