Super Eagles Defender Ola Aina Close To Full Recovery, Resumes Training At Torino
Published: November 28, 2018Super Eagles defender Ola Aina is close to making a full recovery from injury, Torino has suggested.
The Maroons reported via their official website on Wednesday afternoon that the Chelsea loanee worked partly with his teammates at the training session held in Filadelfia.
The afternoon training was divided equally between the athletic and physical part.
Aina suffered a retrocalcaneal inflammation to the right foot while on international duty with the Nigeria National Team, which ruled him out of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against South Africa and the friendly vs Uganda.
Having missed Monday's Serie A tie at Cagliari Calcio , the former England U19 skipper will attempt to force his way back into the team ahead of the upcoming match with Genoa (December 2).
He has made 11 appearances in the Italian topflight, logging 824 minutes.
