Super Eagles Striker Iheanacho Confirms : Leicester City Coach Is A Friend Of Gernot Rohr

Kelechi Iheanacho has confirmed that Leicester City manager Claude Puel is a good pal of Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr.

It would be recalled that the German previously stated that he contacted Puel to hand more game time to the Foxes number eight in the months leading up to the 2018 World Cup.

''He’s a great manager. I think everyone that knows him, knows he’s a great manager. He’s a friend of the Nigeria manager as well,'' said Iheanacho to Leicester City's official website.

''He speaks to me a lot, and the same with the other players. He speaks to everybody, keeping their confidence up and gives them the freedom to play.''

Iheanacho is expected to be named in the match day squad when Leicester City face Isaac Success' Watford at the King Power Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

The Super Eagle is still searching for his first goal in the Premier League since September 22 when he hit target in a 3-1 win vs Huddersfield Town.
