18-Year-Old Nigerian Goalkeeper Trains With Barnsley First Team Ahead Of Bradford City Clash
Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that promising Nigerian goalkeeper Edward Ogbebor-Onaiwu was invited to train with the Barnsley first team on Friday morning ahead of tomorrow afternoon's League One clash against Bradford City.

The 18-year-old trained with first-choice goalkeeper Adam Davis and backup goalie Jake Greatorex while the original second-choice Jack Walton is recovering from a leg injury.

Ogbebor-Onaiwu was involved in shooting practice and a five-a-side game during today's workout.

The teenager's involvement with Barnsley's first team today does not mean that he will make the match day squad against Bradford City as his transfer to The Reds has not been formalized yet.

The former Flying Eagles invitee is expected to be on the bench when Barnsley U23s tackle Burnley in a Professional Development League fixture at Oakwell training pitch this afternoon, 1500 hours kickoff, and will start for the U18s tomorrow away at Sheffield Wednesday.

Ogbebor-Onaiwu previously represented the youth teams of Crystal Palace, Charlton Athletic, AFC Wimbledon and Stevenage.
