West Ham Join Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City In Race For Nigerian Goal-Getter
Published: January 20, 2019West Ham have reportedly joined the race to sign Nigerian striker Josh Maja in the January transfer window.
According to the Mirror, The Hammers are among the Premier League clubs preparing a bid to sign the former Super Eagles invitee, who comes off contract with Sunderland in June 2019.
There are also suitors in the Championship and German Bundesliga for the 20-year-old forward.
Maja is valued at five million pounds and is a player in demand, with the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Wolves, Huddersfield Town and Crystal Palace all credited with an interest.
He is Sunderland's top scorer in the league and tallied his 16th goal of the season as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Scunthorpe United on Saturday.
The Black Cats have the intention of selling Maja within the next eleven days or risk losing him for a little compensation in the summer.
