Ex-Manchester City Midfielder Chidiebere Nwakali Joins Swedish Club Kalmar FF

Allnigeriasoccer.com understands that former Manchester City starlet Chidiebere Nwakali is set to be unveiled by Swedish Allsvenskan side Kalmar FF in the coming days.

The central midfielder, who is already in Scandinavia, held contract talks with the leadership of Kalmar two days ago and agreed a deal after negotiations.

Nwakali is joining the Swedish topflight club as a free agent after mutually terminating his contract with Polish second-tier club Raków Częstochowa in November 2018.

The 22-year-old enjoyed loan spells at Malaga, Girona, IK Start, Sogndal and Aberdeen while on the books of Manchester City.

Meanwhile, Kalmar's Nigeria international Gbenga Arokoyo has been ruled out of action for the upcoming season after suffering an injury during pre-season and will go under the knife this week.

Left back Chima Akas is the other Nigerian player on the books of Kalmar.
