Samuel Kalu gave everyone watching some glimpses of his quality with an eye-catching performance for his French club, Bordeaux in their 1-0 win over Dijon in a league game on Sunday evening.
Bordeaux manager, Eric Bedouet handed the youngster his 16th Ligue 1 appearance following his noticeable upturn in form which has seen him score two goals in his last three outings, and he did not disappoint.
After a deadlocked first period, Bordeaux's Andreas Cornelius diverted home a tame shot into the top left corner though it was the Nigerian that did much of the good work to pick out his team mate for an easy finish.
Kalu had earlier went close to opening the scoring himself when he latched onto a Maxim Poundjé's through ball eighteen minutes in before placing a strike left of the opponent's goal but was denied by a smart save by Dijon goaltender, Allain Bobby.
