Rizespor On Brink Of Deal For Two Defensive-Minded Nigeria Internationals
Turkish Super Lig outfit Rizespor are on the verge of announcing the capture of two defensive-minded Super Eagles stars, according to reports.

Ajans53.com says Chidozie Awaziem and Azubuike Okechukwu will join Rizespor on loan for the remainder of the 2018-2019 season, subject to a routine medical.

Awaziem will arrive the club from Porto while Okechukwu has been snapped up from Egyptian Premier League side Pyramids FC.

The defensive midfielder has Super Lig experience under his belt, having played for Yeni Malatyaspor during the 2017-18 campaign before his move to Pyramids for a transfer fee of two million euros.

Central defender Awaziem has struggled for game time at Porto, making only two appearances this season, and was omitted from the Super Eagles roster for the AFCON qualifier against South Africa as a result of his inactivity.

Rizespor, who are bottom of the league with 15 points from 18 games, face Akhisarspor on Sunday.
